With change comes the opportunity to grow in new directions. By embracing it, I’ve discovered new ways to use my skills and values to serve others.
For many years, my life was centered around being a mom, a wife, and a teacher to my six kids. It was a season I truly cherished. I poured myself into raising and homeschooling them, creating a home where our values were woven into every part of our lives.
Faith was a significant part of that. When I was 8 years old, I moved from California to Tennessee to live with my mom. As I got older, I noticed so many people around me were Christian, even my brother, who became a born-again Christian while in the Navy. I wasn’t seeking it out, but it felt like the Lord kept finding me. One day, driving down the road, I thought, “Fine, if you are real, then I want to know you.” Since then, faith has been a huge part of my life.
My husband and I have been married for 32 years, and our faith has always guided how we live, raise our kids, and treat others. It also played a big part in our decision to homeschool. Teaching six kids was a lot of work, especially with Tommy farming and gone most of the day, leaving me to manage their schooling. I had to be organized, patient, and able to explain things in several ways to help each child understand. It was challenging, but incredibly rewarding. I wouldn’t trade those years for anything.
When our youngest two went into middle school, I suddenly had the time to think about what I wanted to do next. Real estate came up because I realized how much I enjoyed the process of buying and selling properties with Tommy. He has always been the risk-taker when it comes to real estate. I tend to be more cautious, but he is the one who says, “This is a good deal, let’s do it!” Every time we did, it paid off tenfold. It made me realize the potential real estate has to change people’s lives when done right.
In 2017, I earned my real estate license and quickly discovered how much there is to learn in this field. Each transaction brings new lessons, and that variety is something I truly enjoy. I love that every day is different and that I get to build real relationships with my clients. Along the way, I met Amanda Bell, who encouraged me to build my business in a way that felt authentic to me. She has been a wonderful mentor and a great source of support as I continue to grow.
What surprised me most was how much my experience as a mom and teacher helped me in real estate. I learned how to juggle many things at once, adapt quickly, and meet people where they are. I am a nurturer, so supporting my clients and holding their hand through each step is second nature to me. My clients often become friends because I genuinely care about them and their experience. I want everyone I work with to feel confident and cared for, and that shows through my services.
I’m grateful for all the different chapters in my life and how each one has taught me something new. Every experience seems to build on the last, and I feel like my journey in real estate is just beginning!
Outside of work, I love getting outside for a hike, doing Pilates, and traveling when I can. We also have a granddaughter now, which has been the ultimate reminder of how fast time flies and how important it is to value each moment. She has been such a blessing to our family.
Real estate is a personal journey, and I treat it that way. I never pressure my clients and always walk them through each step of the process with their best interests at heart. That means being honest and sharing both the pros and cons of each option so you can make informed, confident decisions. It also means protecting you through negotiations, contracts, inspections, and repairs. I am always looking out for you and working to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
Having experienced many of the same life transitions my clients are navigating, I help you determine what you are truly looking for in a home or neighborhood, whether you are raising a family, downsizing, or searching for your dream home. I also bring extensive knowledge of the area, having lived here most of my life, and can guide you through different neighborhoods and what they have to offer. Ultimately, I keep my clients at the center of everything I do because this is not just about transactions or homes, it is about helping people move through important life transitions with support and care.
Sincerely,

India M Jordan
